Our team is privileged to have played a role in shaping the latest Global Philanthropy Environment Index, a comprehensive analysis of the state of philanthropy across the world. This important index provides insights into the policies, regulations, and trends that define how philanthropic efforts can thrive or struggle within different regions.

We are especially honoured that two of our colleagues contributed to key reports within the Sub-Saharan Africa analysis. Our Programs Manager, Eddah Jowah, authored the Zimbabwe Report, offering a critical perspective on the country’s giving environment, regulatory framework, and emerging trends. Meanwhile, our Executive Director, Tendai Murisa, brought his expertise to the editing of the Sub-Saharan Africa Report, ensuring that the complexities and nuances of the region’s philanthropic landscape were well captured.

These contributions are part of our broader commitment to fostering a more enabling environment for philanthropy across Africa. By participating in global research initiatives such as this index, we continue to advocate for policies that empower communities, promote impactful giving, and support the crucial work of changemakers in our region.
