SIVIO Institute worked with Victory Adullam Foundation to manage the grant it provided to support a feeding scheme in Epworth run by ‘Our Children, Our Hope Foundation’. The initiative was started by two (2) single mothers from Epworth Ward 2, who ply their trade as vendors, who pooled their own resources to start cooking porridge for children in their local communities, after noticing that children from their community were scavenging for food at a nearby refuse dumping site. Their work was highlighted on social media, encouraging fellow Zimbabweans to donate towards the cause, including the Victory Adullam Foundation. Victory Adullam Foundation has committed to providing support to the initiative for three months starting from May 2020. In addition, SIVIO has been supporting Our Children, Our Hope Foundation to legally register as a Trust so that they are operating within the requirements of the Epworth Local Board.
