From April 8th to 10th, we had the privilege of participating in the Infrastructures for the Future convening, graciously hosted by Inspire Change.

Infrastructures for the Future (IF) is a global gathering of community foundation support organisations (CFSO) and their allies.  It brings together practitioners leading national and regional CFSO working in Africa, the Americas, Europe and Oceania, as well as allies from the philanthropy and development sectors.

The convening centred around three key themes—Ecosystem, Future, and Infrastructure—bringing together over 90 participants from Community Foundations Support Organisations and a select number of Community Foundations. Representatives from across the globe, including South America, North America, Africa, Europe, New Zealand, and Australia, gathered to explore how to weave a connected ecosystem for the futures of belonging.

This convening was especially timely, aligning with our ongoing efforts to build and strengthen the philanthropy ecosystem in Zimbabwe and Malawi—an initiative that began in 2024. The discussions played a pivotal role in shaping our perspectives while providing an opportunity to share insights from SIVIO’s work in the realm of community foundations.
