The ‘What if’ series hosted by Tendai Murisa, which started in 2023 is back in 2024. The series is a collection of podcasts that ‘reimagines our being and life conditions’. Tendai Murisa hosts this podcast alongside Nonstiklelo Nzula. In this season of ‘What if’ we start with a conversation on the ‘Big Bet‘ talking about engaged communities and the strength of associational life in African communities where political parties and even the concept of democracy has not delivered on it promises to citizens. This episode was inspired by an article written by Tendai Murisa setting the pace for the strategic focus of SIVIO Institute in 2024 and beyond. Episode 2 of ‘What if’ highlights what Zimbabwe can look like in the next five years. This is a conversation reflecting on the outcome of a September 2023 election result in Zimbabwe giving an analysis of the state of the country and the options for development between now and the next election in 2028.
Episode 3 of ‘What if’ is a focus on financial inclusion. In this episode Nonstikelelo discusses financial inclusion in Sub-Saharan Africa explaining the need for inclusion in the access to financial products and service, and what Africa should consider is it aims to address its development challenges affected by financial inclusion.
