Many of the recipients are successful enough to uplift their own families from poverty. Because of our African principles ingrained in the philosophy of Ubuntu, philanthropic giving to improve quality of life is being passed down from one person to the other. In terms of youth empowerment, they say the youth are the future, investments are being made towards empowering the youth to take up entrepreneurship opportunities and to develop their skills.

Companies like Safaricom, have designated funds channelled towards environmental protection and sustainability. Corporate social responsibility is also viewed as a philanthropic venture for corporations to give back to the communities in which they operate. The various environmental investments by philanthropists, communities, and corporations have not only protected Africa’s rich biodiversity but also created opportunities for sustainable livelihoods, benefiting both people and the environment.
